Nokia has taken wraps off the new Nokia 8 and it falls in line with a lot of images that have surfaced the web in the last few days. The Nokia 6 2nd generation is an upgraded variant of last year’s Nokia 6 with a few key improvements and features.
First up, the design of the Nokia 6 has not change much from last year. The upgraded variant sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display with a pixel density of 403ppi. However, a noticeable change is that the fingerprint scanner has been relocated to the back owing to the decision to use on-screen navigation keys.
Specs is a department that has completely changed with the new generation. It is now powered by the Snapdragon 630 SoC, which is an octa-core SoC clocked in at 2.2GHz. This is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of on-board storage.
As for optics, the new Nokia handset features a 16MP rear camera with Dual-Tone LED flash along with features like PDAF. Upfront, we have an 8-megapixels selfie shooter with an 84-degree wide-angled lens. The smartphone also gets OZO audio recording and the famous Bothie feature.
The Nokia 6 2nd generation is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery and has support for quick charging. It runs on top of Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the box.
The smartphone is priced at CNY 1,499 (approx. Rs. 14,600) for the 32GB variant and costs CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs. 16,600) for the 64GB variant. There is no current information about it’s availability outside China.
