Samsung has recently released the Galaxy J7 Prime smartphone in its ever-popular Galaxy J series which is intended for the mid-range market. The users of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime which was launched last year had been eagerly awaiting the Android Nougat update to their smartphones as the smartphone came with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. As far as the update from Samsung is concerned, the company has not revealed any details about the update. However, we have known that the Android Nougat update is being tested for the Galaxy J7 Prime from last year looking at the GFXBench listing which was recently leaked.
Looking at the GFXBench listing for the Galaxy J7 Prime, the listing shows that the Android Nougat update is already being tested for the J7 Prime as the smartphone in the listing runs the Android 7.0 version of Android and not the Android Marshmallow version which it originally came out with. Talking about the Galaxy J7 Prime, the smartphone comes with 5.5-inch HD display with Gorilla Glass on top, octa-core Exynos 7870 processor, 13MP/8MP camera combo, 3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB ROM. Talking about the Android Nougat update, the Android 7.0 Nougat is a big upgrade from the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and many new features have been added to the latest version of Android.
One thing to note here is the listing which shows that the phone runs on the Android Nougat version so we can assume that the Android 7.0 Nougat update is just around the corner and we may see the update arriving in the phones around the world in the coming days. However, do note that the company has not yet revealed any details about the update and we may see a delay in the update rollout if the company finds some bugs in the update as it is not safe for a wider rollout.
