LG has recently launched the LG G6 smartphone all over the world. To recall, the LG G6 was first announced at the MWC in Barcelona earlier this year and the smartphone came to various markets around the world afterwards. The LG G6 is also the first smartphone of this year to feature a near-bezel less design with an unusual screen ratio of 18:9 thanks to its minimal bezels. This aspect ratio doesn’t make the LG G6 bigger as well and the LG G6 is similar to the LG G5 in size as well. Later, the Samsung Galaxy S8 was launched with a similar design. Now, the company is planning to launch a budget variant of the LG G6 as the smartphone is the flagship from the company and is priced at Rs. 43,000 in India currently.
The specifications of the new phone from LG which will apparently be named the LG Q6 according to the leakster @evleaks have been known. The LG Q6 will come with model number M700 as revealed by the FCC. The smartphone was previously tipped to come with a slightly smaller 5.4-inch display in comparison to the LG G6. However, the smartphone will come with the same aspect ratio as the LG G6 and the screen to body ratio on the phone will be up to 80% which means 80% screen and 20% body. One notable change that can be found on the LG Q6 would be no dual camera setup on the back. The LG Q6 is speculated to feature a single 13MP camera on the back.
Other features of the smartphone would be a 3GB RAM to power the device as opposed to the 4GB of RAM present on the G6. Also, as per leaks, the LG Q6 could also come with a mid-range processor rather than the Snapdragon 821 chipset present on the G6. Stay tuned as we know more about the LG Q6.
