Google at its I/O 2019 keynote, has announced the Android Q Beta 3 version release for 21 smartphones right now on May 7, 2019. Google has announced that Android now runs on over 2.5 billion active devices from over 180 device makers worldwide. The Android Q Beta 3 build features Live Caption, Parental Control, improved gesturing, Focus mode, Smart reply, etc. Whereas, the system-wide dark theme, privacy and security option are also one of the top features of Android Q Beta 3 version.

Android Q Beta 3 Build: Eligible Handsets
The Google Pixel devices are eligible to get Android Q Beta 3 build update via OTA. It includes all the Pixel models such as Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 2, Pixel XL, and Pixel. While the Asus ZenFone 5Z, Essential Phone, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, LG G8 ThinQ, Nokia 8.1, OnePlus 6T, Oppo Reno, Realme 3 Pro, Sony Xperia XZ3, Tecno Spark 3 Pro, Vivo X27, Vivo Nex A, Vivo Nex S, Xiaomi Mi 9, and the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G models are also eligible to get update right now.

Android Q Beta 3 Top Features
The latest Android Q Beta 3 has been released officially by Google at I/O 2019 keynote. It features one of the widely used options called Dark theme. The dark mode helps to reduce eye strain during night time and reduce battery drain issue as well. The users will be able to activate the system-wide dark mode from device Settings > Display. Meanwhile, you can also enable night mode from the new Quick Settings shortcut toggle.
Privacy and Permissions
Android Q Beta V3 also brings improved Privacy option within the Settings. It also offers Activity Controls, Location History, Permissions setting, and Ad Settings. The new Privacy feature includes unwanted app launches to block from the background and also limit permissions to the apps.
The new Smart Reply feature offering system-based smart/auto replies option to all received messages notifications. Android Q Beta V3 also gets a new fully gesture-based navigation control but this time Google ditched the back button to increase full-screen mode. The improved gesture system is now quite fluid and optimized than the early beta. The option can now be enabled from Settings > System > Gestures.

Live Caption, Focus Mode
One of the top features of Android Q Beta version 3 is Live Caption. The feature will be available to the users may be later this year. It basically transcribes the video format conversations into the captions on the screen like subtitles. So, if anyone is talking in the video, the conversation will be screening. The best part is that it’s based on the whole system and works offline as well. Focus Mode is another new Android feature that will be made available to Android 9.0 Pie and Android Q smartphones by the end of this year. It lets users keep silence apps if they distract users during work or gameplay.
Parental Control, Project Mainline
The Parental Control also comes under Digital Wellbeing app with Family Link into the Settings of the device. It lets parents set the time limits on specific apps for your kids. Google also announced Project Mainline feature. It will provide system Security patch updates on the Google Play Store easily to the users. That means now you don’t need to wait or install Android Security Patches quite well.
